National EMS Institute is now offering a wide variety of Allied Health courses. Allied Health is considered any axillary area in patient care that is not Physician or Nursing delivered. These can be X-ray Technicians, Pharmacy or Physical Therapy. Here at National EMS Institute we offer classes in the Allied Professions of Phlebotomy, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), EKG Technician and Medical Assistant.
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is an integral part of the patient care in nursing facilities, patient homes, and hospitals. CNA’s help the nursing staff in hospitals and nursing facilities with basic daily patient care. This includes assisting the patients in and out of bed, and in some cases feeding and bathing. CNA’s also work directly in patient homes as health care aids. The CNA program here at National EMS Institute is comprised of approximately 200 hours of both classroom and clinical internship before the student is allowed to take the state certification exam.
This 6 week training course meets Monday through Thursday from 5pm-9pm.
